although first and third have good detail and composition, the second makes my heart stop. there is a moment when we are unsure if the "target" is living or fake. that seems to really evoke feelings of suspense and tension.
the control of your depth of field in all of these is great! i just wish the one of you didn't have as much going on in the background... or maybe you could blur it a little more... In the other photos i really like the top one.. it is funny and i love the colors.
I love the first one in this series, I'd keep it for sure. Not only is there a great depth of field, but focusing on the bow & arrow rather than the person makes me jump a little. In a don't shoot me kind of sense. It's a great twist on portraiture, keep it real.
Love the shooting pictures. I especially like the one of you maybe because its a little less expected to see the ring and green nail polish holding this weapon.
In the second image what happens if you photoshop out the base of the animal statue. It might look like a real animal!! That would be very emotionally upsetting and really dynamic.
The first one is the most successful of this group. It has the most interesting angle and the focus is really strong, love how clear of a transition it makes as it goes further back and gets more unfocused.

ReplyDeleteAll of these are awesome, I can't even pick one to be my favorite. Nice job!

ReplyDeleteGreat use of the depth of field and bringing specific points into perfect focus!
